“Foods That Heal”
Take part in a sampling and demonstration of the homemade probiotic-rich soda known as Water Kefir, and learn how Real Foods can enable you to take your health into your own hands using food as your medicine.
Ryanna is an accomplished home cook who derived much joy from food, especially making and eating fresh pasta, which she studied at the Apicius Culinary School in Florence. But as she sought to get to the bottom of her deteriorating health and her son’s extreme colic, she realized that food, namely gluten, was closely linked to their every symptom. As a response to what she felt was a lack of support and resources to enable consumers to make informed food choices and truly listen to their bodies, Ryanna opened GRUB, a place for Community Food Education in Wilmington NC which offers classes, workshops and support both at the GRUB House and throughout Southeastern NC, because just as food has the power to harm us, it also has the power to heal us.
